The journey to a healthy mouth begins with keeping the bacteria population of the mouth in check. There are all kinds of different bacteria in the mouth. Some are good and some are bad. Only a few specific types of bacteria can cause cavities, bad breath or gum disease. Proper hygiene, which includes brushing, flossing and rinsing can help keep these bacteria levels in check so you can have a healthy environment in your mouth. We also recommend regular dental visits for scaling, root planning and recall to be sure we keep these levels from increasing. We custom design our programs to you specifically. Some clients require more regular visits while others who practice good hygiene at home can come in once every 9 months. This is the cornerstone of our philosophy to a healthy mouth.
