At Hullmark Dental there are two ways available to go about whitening teeth. Our in-office Teeth Whitening option makes it possible to safely and effectively whiten your teeth in a one-hour appointment. The dental team will apply a barrier around the gums to protect the soft tissue. Then you bite into a tray of gel which is chemically activated with our light system. It’s ideal for those who want instant whitening gratification. You will also receive a take home gel to follow up at home and for maintenance.
We also offer a professional “home whitening” alternative, which is more comfortable for some patients who want to whiten their smile. If you choose this option, impressions of your mouth will be taken and custom-made trays will be produced. You will apply the whitening gel in these trays and wear them for 30-60 minutes a day for 10-14 days depending on the concentration of the formulation. Higher concentrations of gel may cause your teeth to become sensitive during treatment, but it will fade away with time. You will notice a beautiful and whiter smile after the treatment is completed.
In most cases, Tooth Whitening is considered an elective procedure and is therefore not covered by most insurance companies.
